WASHINGTON — Audrey Little, 94, passed away Dec. 12, 2014, at the Augusta Center for Health in Augusta. Audrey was born Aug. 8, 1920, in Chappaqua, N.Y., to Henry J. and Georgianna (Dean) Johnson. She grew up in Chappaqua and graduated from Horace Greeley High School in the Class of 1939.

She worked at Cambridge Instruments in White Plains, N.Y., and later as a homemaker. She married John D. Little and they lived in Old Lyme, Conn., until 1979. She moved to Washington in 1979.

In Washington, she was a member of the Washington Village Church, Ladies Guild of the Church and Ladies Auxiliary of the Post. She was a sweet and gentle woman who loved to read, knit, bake and watch birds. She had many dear friends who will miss her.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John D. Little Sr.; her brother, Irving Johnson; and by a niece, Hope Halak.

She is survived by her sons, John David Little Jr. and his wife, Ava, of Mansfield, Conn., and Scott A. Little of Washington.

A memorial service to celebrate Audrey's life will be held Saturday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Washington Village Church, 33 Liberty Road in Washington, with a reception to follow at the church. The Rev. Tim Lewis will officiate.
