BELMONT — April D. Thorburn, 50, of Belmont, went to be with the Lord after an unexpected death Sept. 29, 2012.

She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Daniel W. Thorburn of Belmont; two children, Jessi M. Piper of Rockland and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Piper III of Rome, Maine; her mother and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Doolin of Belfast; two sisters, Vicki Skillings of Belfast and Bonnie McIntyre and her husband, Carl, of Frankfort; one brother, James E. Littlefield and his wife, Wanda, of Edgecomb; four precious grandsons who were her pride and joy, Zechariah Troy Curtis, Justin Miton Piper, Elias Jacob Brown and Brandon Michael Piper; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wally and Carol of Belmont; as well as many friends and special co-workers at Quarry Hill in Camden, where she was employed as a certified nursing assistant for 25 years. She will be forever loved and missed.

Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home in Belfast. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
