The Midcoast sports scene was busy with several sporting events on Tuesday, April 25.

Below are the scores and stats for those contests that were reported to our sports department.

Varsity Baseball: Oceanside 10, Belfast 7

The Oceanside Mariners picked up a 10-7 against Belfast to become 3-0 on the year while the Lions fell to 2-1. 

Oceanside scored two in the second, three in the third, one in each the fourth and fifth and three in the seventh. Belfast scored one in each the first and third and five in the fifth. 

On the mound for Oceanside were Jack Freeman (4.2 innings, seven runs, seven earned runs, eight hits, seven strikeouts, three walks and one hit-by-pitch) and Logan Sheridan (2.1 innings, four hits, two strikeouts and a walk). 

On the mound for Belfast were Tristen Roberts (3+ innings, six runs, five earned runs, five hits, two strikeouts, six walks, one hit-by-pitch), Max Lewis (two innings, one run, one earned run, two hits) and Zach Dyer (two innings, three runs, one hit, three strikeouts, one walk, one hit-by-pitch). 

At the plate for Oceanside: Coby Dorr (two singles, double), Tim Mazzeo (two singles), Michael Norton (double) and Freeman (double). 

At the plate for Belfast: Derrick Tyler (three singles), Lucas Hamlin (two singles), Roberts (two singles), Grey Dinsmore (double) and Konnor Hartford (double).
