JEFFERSON — Ann D. Severson, 89, passed away at Cove's Edge surrounded by her loving family on August 19, 2017. Ann was born in Hartford, Connecticut on March 17, 1928, daughter of Thomas and Dorothea (Farrington) Winchenbach.

Ann attended and graduated from Thomaston High School as Valedictorian of her class. Ann was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed bowling, knitting and cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Ann loved her cats and dogs. She loved playing Bingo at Cove's Edge. She was a member of the Word of Life Church in Waldoboro

She was predeceased by her parents, daughters, Julie Severson and Linda Cassidy, sisters, Phyllis and Hazel and grandson, Richard LaCrosse.

Ann is survived by her sons, Ernest Roden of Rockland, and Roy Roden of Camden, daughter Dixie Sproul of Waldoboro, brothers, Thomas Winchenbach and wife Louisa of Dutch Neck, Robert Winchenbach and wife Elizabeth of Camden, sister, Ruth Castner of Waldoboro, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 1-2 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro, services will follow on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2:00 a.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro, Pastor Tom Rawley (Word of Life Church) officiating.
