KENTS HILL — The Camden Hills Regional High School Alpine skiing team traveled to Kents Hill for the Maranacook Slaloms Saturday, Jan. 17.

Team scores were not available, but individual results were and are listed below.

As of noon on Monday, Jan. 19, head coach Ryan Hurley said the girls team unofficially came in second place one point away from first place finisher Edward Little. He did not know how the boys team did.

We've had a good stretch of training where we have been able to get on snow for consecutive days which really helps the skiers apply the new skills they have learned,” Hurley stated. “On the girls side Lydia Morin turned in a fantastic result finishing in 2nd place out of 60 competitors. Ella Simon also had her best result of the year finishing a strong 6th place. Samantha Zwecker finished 17th and Raine Ellison 18th to round out the scoring for us.”

On the boys side, Sawyer King paced the boys team and turned in his best performance of the year in 28th, according to Hurley.

David Flint placed 33rd, Adam Throne 40th, Thatcher Chamberlin 54th and Hans Angel 69th.

“We finished a solid week of training on a very positive note and I'm looking forward to seeing how much progress we can make in the next couple of weeks as we prepare for the conference championships. The team is really gelling right now as well and it is a real pleasure to watch them support and push each other to the next level. We're having a blast!”
