MONTVILLE — Albert E. Foster Jr., 79, of Montville, passed away May 25, 2015, in Portland. He was born March 27, 1936, in Providence, R.I., the son of Albert E. and Rose (Pickett) Foster Sr.

He worked for over 22 years as a truck driver for Keebler until retirement in 1977. Albert was a member of the Teamster Union in Framingham, Mass., the Portuguese American Club in Smithfield, R.I., and served in the Army Reserves. He moved with his wife 28 years ago to Montville, where he enjoyed his time woodworking and gardening. Some of his hobbies after retirement included cooking, fishing and hunting. Albert was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Church as well as a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Joseph R. Foster.

Albert is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Raymonde; his children, Donna Conde and her husband, Michael, of Glocester, R.I., Suzanne Horn and her husband, Michael, of Coventry, R.I., Karen Foster, Peter Foster and his wife, Lisa, all of Gloucester, R.I., and Sharon Olson and her husband, Kyle, of Warwick, R.I.; his sister, Carol Slattery of Winter Harbor; his grandchildren, Jessica Gilb, Michael Conde, Andrew Horn, Amy Conde, Jamie, Ian and Cameron Olson, and Alexis and Jaden Foster; his great-grandchildren, Rayelyn Watson and Olive Rose Gilb; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and several special sisters-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Court Street in Belfast. A memorial will be announced in Rhode Island at a later date.

Those who wish may make donations in Albert's memory to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
