Wind Over Wings Is Hosted by The Lincoln Home

Event has passed

Experience the wonder of being a few feet away from Maine’s smallest owl, the little Saw-whet; a magnificent Red-tailed Hawk, a rambunctious raven or a beautiful falcon. Wind Over Wings will present the birds at The Lincoln Home on Monday, November 17, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.  Wind Over Wings, a nonprofit, environmental education service features magnificent birds who are unable to survive in the wild and have overcome extraordinary obstacles in their lives. Hear the humorous, heart-warming and inspiring stories of these beautiful birds—stories of courage, adaptability, and resilience.

Wind Over Wings is located in Maine with the guidance of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and the Maine Department of Inland Fish & Wildlife. Their goal is to educate the public and  provide a personal connection with wildlife that will lead to responsible stewardship of the environment. Founder, Hope Douglas believes when adults and children make a connection with wildlife, intentional cruelty will lessen.

We welcome the public to our free Monday Information Series, held in our living room, overlooking the beautiful Damariscotta River. The Lincoln Home is located at 22 River Road, Newcastle.
