Down the Chute, Chili Challenge & Pancake Breakfast!

West Bay Rotary will again be providing food, beverage and parking at the Toboggan Nationals February 6, 7 and 8 2015 at the Camden Snowbowl.

Friday, the club presents the 3rd Eva' Down the Chute Beer & Wine Tasting to be held Friday, February 6, 2015 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. This adult event will kick off the weekend’s Toboggan National Championships held annually at the Camden Snowbowl. 2015 Sponsors include North Atlantic Painting Company, Horch Roofing, RDS Electric, Wells Fargo Advisors, and New Leaf Construction.

2015 participating brewers/vintners include Allagash Brewery, Andrew's Brewing, Baxter Brewing, Boothbay Craft Brewery, Breakwater Vineyards, Cellardoor Winery, Downeast Cider House, Fat Friar's Meadery, Gritty's, Liberty Craft Brewing, Penobscot Bay Brewery, Rock Harbor Brewing Company, Strong Brewing Co., Winterport Winery.

The event will be under the tent at the Camden Snow Bowl, and is open to those age 21 and older with valid ID. “Designated Drivers” tickets are $5 and will have complimentary soft drinks provided.  Designated Drivers must be 21 or older, as well.

Ticket price includes souvenir tasting glass; tickets to sample up to 12 beers, wines, ciders and meads; raffle ticket for a chance to win fabulous prizes being donated by brewers, vintners, distributors and local businesses; and a ticket to vote for the People's Choice award.

Saturday in the tent at 11a, the club will again host the Chili Challenge bringing local purveyors to provide samples of their chili to compete for to be the tastiest. Tickets are available at the door.

Sunday morning, in conjunction with the nascent Knox Sunrise Rotary Club of Union, there will be a Pancake Breakfast in the tent, and tickets are available at the door.

West Bay Rotarians will also be providing the volunteers to park cars during Toboggan Nationals.

All proceedss benefit West Bay Rotary charities and the Camden Snow Bowl. West Bay Rotary Club meets weekly at the First Congregational Church on Route 1 in Camden at 7:15 a.m. on Thursdays.
