Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog Prep Classes start Wednesday Nov. 11 at 4:30

The American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen (AKC CGC) certification is recognized as a high standard of dog behavior and is an excellent way to prepare for therapy dog training. This class prepares you and your dog to take the AKC CGC test and/or take the control evaluation for Love on a Leash. as well as improve on behaviors already learned.

This 5 week class focuses on the 10 behaviors required to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. For specific details on test requirements visit https://www.akc.org/events/cgc/program.cfm . Your dog must already be able to sit, down, stay, walk on a loose leash, pass people and dogs while walking, and calmly accept handling and brushing.
