In this advanced-level Spanish course, students will analyze films of Spanish cinema based on the three-act structure. Students will begin with an introduction to the vocabulary of cinema, along with an overview of the basic structure of a screenplay. They will then discuss and debate films with an eye towards their narrative structure and what makes them work or not work. Learn and practice verbal communication. The class is not about perfection, but about making yourself understood in a realistic situation. Language acquisition in this context will be in the service of expressing an argument or a concept.

Potential films include : “El Sur” Victor Erice, Director, “Amantes del Circulo Polar” Julio Medem, Director, 7:35 de la mañana” Nacho Vigalondo, Director.
