The stars are aligned for an evening of food, fun, friends and funds raised for home heating assistance for Knox County families.  The focus will be a gathering of fans of Ed Mazurek, coming together to honor his many years of service to our community as neighbor, father and husband, teacher, coach, Rockland City Council member and mayor, member of the Maine House of Representatives and now retiring Maine senator representing most of Knox County.  Come and greet Ed and share your personal stories of appreciation for his many decades of service.

The party will be Thursday October 16 from 5-8 p.m. at the Elks’ Lodge at 210 Rankin Street in Rockland.  Admission will be by donation with all proceeds going to Penquis to be distributed in its home heating assistance program.  Ed has been a longtime advocate for home heating assistance and has worked on numerous events through the years to raise funds for that purpose. 

There will be local food featuring super soups, slaw and cider.  Sponsors include Café Miranda, Megunticook Market and Rockland Hannaford, so you know there will be good eats.  There will be a cash bar.
