Rose & The Wayfaring Strangers will play Wednesday, August 13th at the Rockport Masonic Center for the continuing Lawn Concert series. The group’s style of music ranges from Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Linda Ronstadt to Merle Haggard, with a little bluegrass gospel thrown in for good measure. Rose and Wayfaring Strangers has performed up and down the Midcoast and enjoys seeing people participate during performances; the local musicians’ enthusiasm and mix of music are sure to have listeners toe-tapping and singing along.

Rose and Wayfaring Strangers features Kim Moran of Lincolnville on vocals, mandolin and flute; Doug Teel of Rockville on vocals and guitar; Ron Haven of Appleton on bass; Linda Stevenson of Warren on vocals and fiddle; Scott Harrison on vocals and guitar; and Rosey Gerry of Lincolnville on vocals, banjo, guitar and autoharp.

All concerts are rain or shine events and there is never an admission fee but a hat is passed to pay for the bands that play the series. Burger & hotdog plates are available for sale at $6 pp. Includes one burger or two dogs, a side, drinks, chips and ice cream.

FMI please call Jeff @691-2270.  The Masonic center is located at 361 Main Street, just up from the Simonton corner 4-way stop signs.
