To Audiences in both Rockland and Rockport

Wednesday, April 18, 2018

At 4 PM – Oceanside High School – Rockland

At 7 PM – Camden Regional High School – Rockport

The Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition is proud to announce two local presentations by Phil Valentine, the Executive Director for the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery.  Phil is widely recognized as a leader in the recovery movement and his contributions and knowledge are widely sought at this time of a growing drug addiction crisis nationally.

Phil is the acknowledged expert regarding a new approach to addressing addiction called “Recovery Coaching”.  This cutting-edge approach has proven its effectiveness in helping individuals and communities find paths to sobriety and restored health.  Currently, numerous states are seeking to integrate Recovery Coaching into settings such as hospital emergency departments, prisons, jails and many other settings where coaches can work with staff to assure better outcomes to those in need of help.

Phil has also contributed to build a statewide network of Recovery Community Centers in Connecticut and has much to teach us about replicating this work in our own community.

At the April 18thmeetings, Phil will address recovery coaching and many others approaches to address this worsening crisis in America.  As a proud speaker in long term recovery, he will speak out loud about his own recovery from drug addiction and how we can end discrimination surrounding addiction and recovery.

There is no need to make reservations and there is no fee to attend.  The Mid-Coast Recovery Coalition will be underwriting these events and expresses appreciation to both the Oceanside High School and the Camden Regional High School for hosting Phil Valentine’s presentations.
