P.A.W.S. Appreciates Their Volunteers!

Wed, 04/26/2017 - 5:30am

2017 National Volunteer Week begins on Sunday, April 23rd and ends on Saturday, April 29th

As the Volunteer Coordinator at P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center in Camden I am writing this to express my deepest thanks to ALL the volunteers who help us at PAWS day in and day out.  A lot happens behind the scenes and behind all the cute faces of the kittens, cats, puppies, and dogs that live at the shelter.

Without daily cleaning (we all like to live in a clean home), feeding, watering, dog walking, cat companionship and socializing these pets would be very sad indeed.  The shelter is a tough place for a cat or dog who has been misplaced so we want to do everything we can to make their stay with us as good as it can be until they find their forever home.

Volunteers are the backbone of many organizations and PAWS is no exception.

As the Volunteer Coordinator, I am constantly asking for help, time, ideas, commitment and dedication to the numerous schedules, events, jobs, and meetings it takes to run the organization.  And for this once again, I say sincerely – thank you.  Your kindness will be rewarded – maybe not with money but in a happy wagging tail, or a purring kitty and a lifetime of unconditional love.

During Volunteer Week (Sun April 23rd –Sat April 29th), we will be handing out surprise giveaways and thank you goodies to all volunteers who come into PAWS to volunteer.

Thank you to everyone who lends a hand to P.A.W.S., we couldn’t do it without you!

Paula Horton, Volunteer Coordinator
