The Windjammer Weekend Nautical Dog Show will be held on Saturday, September 3rd at Noon in Camden Harbor Park. The show is being organized by P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center in Camden.

Bring your canine friends and the whole family for a fun-filled afternoon overlooking Camden Harbor. Bring your dog and participate in multiple contests for dog owners and their canine friends and celebrate the presence of dogs adopted from an animal shelter.

Contestant registration can be found on line at www.pawsadoption.org under events.  Participants can also register on-site the morning of the event beginning at 11:00 am at Harbor Park.  There is no registration fee to participate, but donations to P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center are appreciated.

Your dog can participate in a nautical costume contest (do you have a special nautical outfit your dog enjoys wearing?). Your dog can compete for the title of “Top Dog” in a variety of fun contests and show off your dog’s special talent in the talent portion of the afternoon. Winners will be named for the dogs with the longest and shortest ears, longest and shortest tails, best trick, fastest run in the obstacle course, the best dog trick and best nautical costume.

Have you adopted your dog from an animal shelter? Please bring them to the show and share your joy in having given a homeless dog a wonderful forever home as you parade them around the park.

PAWS Animal Adoption Center, located at 123 John St., in Camden, was established in 1974 and now serves the Town of Camden, Rockport, Lincolnville, Hope, Belfast, Northport, Searsmont, Liberty, Islesboro and Swanville.
