The Study Hall is happy to announce that Mariel Dowling has join their tutoring team. Mariel has been a teacher of language and literacy for over seven years. She has taught at a variety of academic levels including early childhood education in reading, writing, history, and geography. Since 2012, she has taught high school Spanish at the Watershed School in Camden. In her work with students, she integrates her own experiences of language-learning with her academic background in creative writing and literature. 

Mariel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Screenwriting and Creative Nonfiction from Goddard College with concentrations in Spanish, Russian, Hebrew, and Afrikaans. She has studied language acquisition and phonetics and is currently in the process of earning her Master of Education in Applied Linguistics from Texas A&M. 

At The Study Hall Mariel will be working with students of all levels in the area of English, Foreign Language, History, Study Skills and Organization.
