Ham Dinner at John Street Church in Camden October 17 to Benefit Local Charities

The Christian Outreach Everywhere (CORE) committee of the John Street United Methodist Church, 98 John Street, Camden, is sponsoring a public ham dinner on Friday, October 17 from 5:30 -7 pm. CORE is the mission arm of the church and supports many worthy programs, including New Hope for Women, Camden Christian Food Pantry, Hospice and Hospitality House. Seating for 96 diners will be available. Cost of the meal is $10 per person at the door.
Scott Wilcox, Executive Chef of Midcoast Culinary Solutions, will cater the “evening out” with a mouth-watering menu of baked ham with raisin sauce served with potatoes, peas, carrots and squash. Pickles and other types of relishes will be available. Guests will be treated to a true dining experience with table service at the long tables covered with white tablecloths accented with fall decorations. To top off the meal, the ladies of the church will be baking traditional pumpkin and apple pies. In keeping with season, diners may choose cider as their beverage along with coffee or water.
