What many people aren’t aware of about having their chimneys cleaned is it’s usually really quite fun.

We pull up and meet the animals, carry in our stuff, and do our job. What is really fun is we go in the attics and cellars where many chimney problems are.

It’s funny how some are afraid of their own cellars! That’s why we clean attics, cellars and barns as well!

But what makes these annual chimney pilgrimages so much fun is the interactions between the homeowner’s children and the chimney sweep. It is an ages old tradition for a sweep to find a scrap of red material in a fireplace, real evidence that that Santa dude was there. I think this year I’ll get some rainbow muslim material and tell them Obama and Michelle were there.

Saturdays are our big day of so we won’t be cleaning any chimneys, but you might see us today at the yard sales, so come and introduce yourselves.
