You are eligible to participate in this screening if you have all of these risk factors:
• Are age 60 or over.
• Are currently a smoker, have a smoking history (100 cigarettes or more) or have had prolonged exposure to second-hand smoke.
• Have elevated cholesterol and/or high blood pressure.
• Have a family or personal history of coronary artery disease.

What is carotid artery disease?
Carotid artery disease is the most common cause of stroke. When this disease is detected early, stroke can be prevented. See your doctor. Discuss lifestyle changes. Consider getting an ultrasound exam. A few small steps may save your life.
