The members of the Rockport Masonic Center will again prepare and serve a free beef stew supper for Veterans and a guest on Saturday, November 7th from 5 to 630pm.

RMC began this event 3 years ago and has seen an increase in Veterans coming out to enjoy the home cooked stew. According to Jeff Sukeforth, RMC member, both Amity Lodge #6 and St. Paul’s Lodge #82 have a large contingent of Veterans who are Masons and the good natured ribbing between the services is abundant. But they all realize that they share a bond which cannot be severed by anyone and that is one of being called a Veteran who all served this great country of ours.

The supper will start at 5pm and will run until 630pm. Besides the stew there will be home made biscuits and desserts to top it all off. There will also be a slideshow ongoing throughout the evening to say Thanks to all our local Veterans.

All Veterans are encouraged to come out and join with the members to talk and have some food and fun. Folks are asked to pass this word along to someone they may know who is a Veteran.  FMI please call Jeff at 691-2270.
