Calf Unveiling Day at Aldermere Farm

ROCKPORT – Saturday, May 5 Aldermere Farm, a preserve of Maine Coast Heritage Trust, will open its doors and barnyard to the public during Calf Unveiling Day to introduce the newest members of Aldermere’s Belted Galloway herd. From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Aldermere Farm, located at 20 Russell Avenue in Rockport, will host behind-the-scenes tours of the barnyard to visit with the nineteen Belted Galloway calves and a chance to see Aldermere's 4-H club in action.

Local farms, agricultural programs, food vendors and non-profits will be on-site with their animals, goods, local fare, and information. This year’s event will feature Aurora Dawn Farm, The Barber's Bunnies, Bittersweet Heritage Farm, Brodis Blueberries, The Coastal Children’s Museum, Final-lee Acres, Guini Ridge Farm, Hatchet Cove Farm, Maine Agriculture in the Classroom, Stone Fox Creamery, Uproot Pie Co., and A Wrinkle In Thyme Farm. There will be activities for kids led by the Coastal Children’s Museum and the Erickson Fields Kids Can Grow program. Grilled Aldermere burgers as well as a selection of Aldermere beef will be available to purchase.
