Twenty vendors of crafts and baked goods will be offering their specialties from 8 - 2 at the Craft Fair November 14 at the John Street United Methodist Church, 98 John Street, Camden.  Hot coffee and breakfast pastries will be available in the morning, and at lunchtime fair-goers can buy a corn chowder meal with cornbread for $8.

The variety of goods to be sold is impressive.  Linda Storey of Birch Meadow Farm in Montville will have hand-spun, hand-knit socks, soaps, balsam pillows, hooked rug mats, penny rug wool appliques, pin cushions, needle keeps, scissor cases, rug-hooked coasters and quilted pot holders.  Connie Bailey of Penobscot is bringing note cards with photos and some with paintings of Maine scenes.  She also crafts wire wrap jewelry and hand formed flame “painted” copper earrings, pendants and bracelets. 

Shoppers will find Christmas ornaments, lighted wine bottles and hand-painted wine glasses.  Fashionable fingerless gloves will be on sale as well as sea glass pendants and beaded jewelry.  Coastal Opportunities program for the intellectually challenged will be selling their popular loom-woven totes and handbags.

This sale is a great opportunity for shoppers to find a wide selection of choices for gift giving or personal use.  Proceeds from the sale will benefit local charitable programs as well as selected church missions.

Directions to the John Street United Methodist Church, 98 John Street, Camden: From Route 1, turn onto John Street at the Subway Shop.  Drive ½ mile and the church is on the left, across from the new P.A.W.S. Animal shelter.  From Simonton Road, turn east.  The church is the first building on the right.
