Ashwood Waldorf Students’ Grade 8 Projects

Event has passed

A major element of the final school year at Ashwood Waldorf School is the Eighth Grade Project. The goal of the project is to give the students a chance to explore a new field and to learn new skills, or to enter more deeply into an area in which they are already proficient. The project demands many months of diligent work. Each student chooses two mentors, one a parent and the other an expert in the field the student has chosen to explore. These mentors take on the roles of teachers and guides as the students create something meaningful to show their community. Tonight, thursday, April 6, at 6:30 p.m., is the culmination of all of this work, and a celebration of mentorship and learning. Each student chose a project that allowed them to grow as craftsmen and artists, and each has found an area of endeavor that holds further challenges. Do join us as we present this year’s eighth grade projects!
