What Is Waldorf Education?

Have you ever wondered what goes on in a Waldorf classroom? Every morning, in more than 1,000 Waldorf schools worldwide, the day begins with a dynamic and interactive main lesson, where academic subjects are brought to life through storytelling, movement, experimentation, and the arts.

Ashwood Waldorf School in Rockport is offering a free tour on Tuesday, May 19, 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Visit grades one, 2-3, and 7, and see firsthand how Waldorf works from the early elementary grades through the middle school. For those curious about the Waldorf approach to early-childhood education, there will be a separate tour at 8:50.

After the tours there will be time for questions and conversation. Advance registration is required: info@ashwoodwaldorf.org or 207.236.8021. All are welcome.

Ashwood Waldorf School offers a stimulating education grounded in the developmental stages of childhood for grades pre-K through 8. Our professional faculty is devoted to mentoring, challenging, and engaging each student through a curriculum that integrates science and mathematics with literature, history, and the arts.
