Thu, 10/23/2014 - 7:30pm

West Bay, Camden, and Rockland and Rotary Clubs are planning a Polio Walk for October 25, 2014. Rotary International has designated October 24, 2014 as World Polio Day. The aim of the event is to raise money and awareness about polio and Rotary’s continued efforts to raise money and provide volunteer efforts to eradicate the disease entirely world-wide.

The walk will take place Saturday October 25th starting and finishing at the PAWS Animal Refuge on John Street (Former Camden First Aid) in Camden. The walk will begin at 10:30a and end at about noon for social time and refreshments available.

T shirts will be available. Anyone interested in participating can contact West Bay Rotary through President Tim Dresser, Tim_Dresser@fivetowns.net.

West Bay Rotary Club meets weekly at the First Congregational Church on Route 1 in Camden at 7:15a on Thursdays. Located in Rotary District 7790, the club has been meeting and providing opportunities for community service and fellowship for over 25 years. For more information, visit www.westbayrotaryofmaine.org.
