ANNOUNCING A NEW MENTAL ILLNESS SUPPORT GROUP IN ROCKLAND
Event has passed
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Maine will sponsor a free FaithNet Combined Support Group specifically for both individuals and for family members affected by the challenges of mental health. The program includes a spiritual component that many find helpful in recovery and management. The first meeting will be held from 5:30 – 7:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month, starting January 14, at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 11 White Street, Rockland. Parking is available near the library or Rockland Recreation Center, also in the parking lot on Maple Street behind the Knox County Health Clinic. The entrance for the meeting is downstairs facing the public playground.
Leading the ongoing interfaith group will be a quartet of trained local volunteers from the midcoast area who will assure that the meetings are a safe, confidential forum for people to share their stories and concerns as well as to learn from one another. For more information, call Abby at (207)706-6744.
NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness.
