Saturday, August 1st from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) will host the 14th annual Aldermere Farm Art Show and Sale in the historic Aldermere farmhouse at 20 Russell Avenue in Rockport. The show will feature local artists who capture the beauty of Maine’s coastal lands through original paintings and prints of coastal and pastoral vistas, Aldermere Farm and its world-renowned Belted Galloway cattle. There will also be Beltie beef and unique Beltie-themed items for sale. Funds raised from the sales help support the many agricultural programs at Aldermere Farm and Erickson Fields Preserve including Farm Hands, Aldermere Achievers 4H Club, Kids Can Grow and Teen Ag.

The theme of the art show honors the landscapes that Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) has worked to preserve since 1970. MCHT conserves and stewards Maine’s coastal lands and islands for their renowned scenic beauty, ecological value, outdoor recreational opportunities and contributions to community wellbeing. MCHT’s Aldermere Farm and Erickson Fields properties are preserved working farms in Rockport that make available fresh local food for the community, offer many agriculturally related programs and events, and help visitors gain a better appreciation for land conservation and sustainable agriculture.
