So pleased with the Wednesday night group that attends the Gift of Prophecy class at the Beacon of Hope on the Hill in Belfast. I don't believe I have ever witnessed such rapid spiritual growth in three sessions in all the years I have been teaching. (I believe we are in a season of accelerated growth - get ready for a spiritual explosion)
Truly, the revelation of who God is and who we are created to be in Him has the power to transform lives - especially with the revelation of the Father's heart and His love in the atmosphere of joy. Here is an excerpt from the teaching from last night.
In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve “heard the voice” of the Lord God walking in the cool of the evening (Genesis 3:8). God created mankind to “hear His voice.” God is a God of communication. Since the beginning, God has been speaking to mankind.
In the Old Testament, God spoke to His people through His prophets. Then Jesus came, “The Word” who spoke to the people the things of their heavenly Father and His Kingdom with signs and wonders (Hebrews 1:1).
As Jesus promised, the Father sent the gift of the Holy Spirit. On the day of Pentecost, the Church was endowed with power from on high (Acts 1:8). The church today is called to be the voice of God.
And now the same “voice that walked” in the Garden, walks in His people. We are the garden of the Lord. Listen to this promise… …” For you are the temple of the living God: as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them and I will be their God, and they shall be My people – 2 Cor. 6:16
As the temple of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God walks as a “voice” in your mind, your heart, your spirit, and your soul. He is always present. We just need to be present with Him. He is always speaking; we just need to “be still to know” in order to “discern His presence and to hear His voice.”
