Event has passed

The public is welcome to join us as Dick Chase shares the history of the area known as Damariscotta Mills on Monday, June 20, from 3:00 to 4:00pm. Known by many as the home of the alewives, Damariscotta Mills was settled in 1729.  It soon became a bustling village with two sawmills, a match factory, and a tannery.

The Lincoln Home is located at 22 River Road, overlooking the Damariscotta River, in Newcastle. For more information, please contact Rhonda Hanna, Director of Community Life, at 563-3350.
