“Beyond Soil Tests” with Mark Fulford

Event has passed

On Tuesday, April 28, from 6-8pm in the Abbott Room of the Belfast Free Library, Mark Fulford will give a free presentation titled "Beyond Soil Tests," exploring the direct connection between soil health and human health.

According to Mark: "Without renewing the inherent wealth of healthy living soils, humanity will fail. Many practices that are commonplace today must change, following the leadership of environmentally aware gardeners and farmers. Growing and preparing good food (real medicine), is one of the highest arts of a sustainable civilization."

Mark Fulford is a solution-oriented agricultural educator and consultant, whose range of expertise encompasses transitioning from conventional to organic and biological agriculture; soil, crop, and forage nutrition; and watershed bioremediation.

This event is sponsored by the Library, located at 106 High Street in downtown Belfast, and the community-owned Belfast Co-op, in recognition of the United Nations declaring 2015 the International Year of Soils. For more information, call the Library at 338-3884 ext. 10.
