Rockport, ME- On Saturday, June 13th the Midcoast Recreation Center is hosting its third annual benefit golf tournament. The event will take place at the Goose River Golf Club in Rockport. The tournament is an 18 hole scramble starting at 9am. Prizes will be awarded for low gross, low net, longest drive, closest to the pin and to the winner of our flop shot competition over the MRC wall. Participants can sign up individually or in teams of 4.
The Midcoast Recreation Center is a nonprofit committed to healthy living through sports and fitness programs. Proceeds from the golf tournament will support MRC’s scholarship program. “The MRC Golf Tournament is a fun and easy way to support our scholarship program”, said MRC Executive Director Craig Wilson. “The MRC does not turn anyone away due to the inability to pay. This year’s goal is to raise $7,500 which will allow children to participate in summer camp, tennis programs, hockey leagues and skating instruction at a fee they can afford. Help support this worthwhile program and sign up to play in the 3rd annual MRC Golf Tournament on June 13th.”
